Buying and Selling

  1. Select 'My Offers' and Click 'Create A New Offer' -> verify
  2. Enter the amount you wish to trade and choose your preferred trade methods.

Click the 'Edit' button next to the offer you'd like to modify. Note, your offer and amount cannot be edited once a trade is in progress.

In the Dashboard, under "active offers" you can edit or cancel any pending offer.

No, once you've found your match with a specific trade method it cannot be changed.

Yes, as long as you don't accept the match.

  • You have 5 minutes to accept or decline the match.
  • The other user will complete and verify the transfer within the allotted time (8 mins).
  • You have 5 mins to confirm the funds were received.
  • This completes the trade.
  • IMPORTANT: All trade activity and communication must be completed within the MatchPay platform.

Please allow an additional 20 mins for the other user to confirm. It is not uncommon for there to be an additional delay from your selected trade method. If your trade is still pending, you can contact Customer Service by opening a dispute.

The minimum amount to trade is $10 and the maximum is $2000.

Cancel the trade. Never send credits to a user if the trade method details were not shared in the trade chat window.

Please contact your payment method as MatchPay will not be able to assist in their matters. As stated, you should never send credits to your trade partner from an account not registered on MatchPay.

  • DO NOT CONFIRM TRADE until credits are available for your use. If credits are not yet visible, do not mark them as received.
  • DO NOT FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS FROM THIRD PARTIES CLAIMING TO BE MODERATORS. Trades happen only between the two peers involved. Moderators will never participate or give instructions during a trade.
  • NEVER SHARE YOUR MATCHPAY PASSWORD. Our team will never ask for it. If someone does, it’s likely a scam. Keep your login information confidential.

      Tips by trade method:

PayPal:

  • The payment I sent is pending - What should I do?
    • If a payment is pending or unclaimed, it means the recipient hasn't accepted it yet. Cancel the pending payment and resend using "Friends & Family" or "Gift".

PayID:

  • How long do payments take to process with PayID?
    • Payments usually complete in under a minute, even between different banks. Occasionally, payments may be held for up to 30 minutes. If this happens, stay patient and double-check that the recipient details are correct.
  • How do I use PayID?
    • PayID is available through online banking at participating financial institutions. Check with your bank to see if they support PayID.
